• Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting: 2 hours every 2 years from a Pennsylvania-approved provider
• Pain Management and Opioid Prescribing: Physicians with a current DEA registration, or who use another individual's or entity's DEA registration, must complete 2 hours every 2 years in pain management, identification of addiction, or practices of prescribing or dispensing opioids
• Initial Licensure – Pain Management and Opioids: Within 12 months of initial licensure, prescribers or dispensers must complete 4 hours of Board-approved education consisting of 2 hours in pain management or identification of addiction and 2 hours in practices of prescribing or dispensing opioids
• Organ and Tissue Donation: Effective May 1, 2026, physicians must complete a one-time 2-hour CME requirement in organ and tissue donation and the recovery process within 5 years of initial licensure, renewal, or reactivation
